This is the updated version of the screen saver program I first created in 2003. I was prompted to update it with the release of the Halo 3 Announcement Trailer at E3 2006. While the original version could only play QuickTime and MPEG movies, this updated version can also play WMV videos. This new version also allows you to set up a playlist of several videos that will be played one after another. So now you can configure it to play a whole season of Red vs Blue if you like!
The screen saver only works on Windows XP and Windows 2000. You can download an older version of the screen saver which works with older operating systems such as Windows NT and Windows 98 here (1.14MB).
Bungie announced at E3 2006 that they are officially working on Halo 3 for the XBox 360. They released an Announcement Trailer that can be downloaded and used with the screen saver. You can find links to the different quality versions of the trailer from here. You can also download the small versions of the trailer using the links below.
You can use the screensaver with any QuickTime, MPEG, or WMV file, so be sure to check out the other great Halo movies available at the links below.
